How to be More Organized With Money

If you find it difficult to get to the end of the month or if your account runs out very fast without funds, you will be pleased to learn a little economic organization so that you can spend the whole month with money and without worries. But being organized with money does not just involve making a budget and sticking strictly to it, it goes further. We are going to explain to you how to be more organized with the money to be able to balance your finances.

Step 1

Every month we have to some payments to make (electricity, water, telephone, community of neighbors, insurance of the car, etc.) To prevent us from going crazy with all the bills, the first thing we must do is to domicile all the invoices in an account and pay every bill automatically on the same day of each month. This will ensure we pay the bills on time and save on fines or penalties due to delays.

Step 2

Another very important step is to have bank accounts organized . If we have accounts in different banks we can try to group them all in the same account, which for example will save us commissions when transferring money from one account to another. We will also save time when making arrangements. If you have accounts that you do not use, close them. You would have to pay maintenance costs on the extra accounts, now you will be able to save them and you will have your money much more organized.

Step 3

If you want to save, register your expenses of the day to day . At the beginning that to write down all your expenses, from going for the bread to the purchase of the week in the supermarket, you can do a little heavy, but little by little you will get used to it. You should also note if you pay in cash or with a card.

Step 4

After a few weeks of  tallying the expenses – a month is a good time – you can divide them into categories. One can be household expenses, other food, leisure, clothing, household bills, etc. Within each category you can differentiate between payments made in cash and those made with a credit card. Month by month you can compare your expenses in each category and know what you spend more on.

Step 5

Once you have analyzed all of the expenses, you can study if you are more interested in using cash or cards, knowing when you will receive the most important receipts and adjust other expenses, such as those in the leisure category, so as not to disrupt the balance of your accounts. Little by little you will discover what you spend money on more. If you start to plan your expenses, you will balance them better and you will be able to start to save.

Step 6

Review your expenses periodically . If you save your receipts, the proofs of payment with card, etc., you will be able to verify that there has not been errors with being charge incorrect amounts. If you keep the receipts, you can always complain about an error or a charge that should not have been made. It is very important to control the payments that we make.
